Who this isn't for
We'd rather you know before you order.
- You want full modest coverage. The pleated skirt is sheer and the back is a deep V, so it adds a little coverage, not full coverage.
- You avoid underwire. The cups have underwire, with removable pads.
- You need sun protection. We haven't tested the fabric for UPF, so we make no sun-protection claim.
- You're outside the size range. It runs M to XXL on an Asian size chart, and XXL is made for 165 to 170 cm and 62.5 to 72.5 kg. If you're outside that, this piece won't fit you well, and we'd rather say so now.
Questions before you buy
How do I choose my size?
Aveline follows Asian sizing, which typically fits smaller than Australian sizes, so don’t go by your usual size. Use the fitting guide above and match your height and weight, and your bra size where the guide lists it.
Daybreak runs M to XXL and is made for 155 to 170 cm and 45 to 72.5 kg. If your height and weight sit between two sizes, choose the smaller one. The fabric has plenty of stretch.
Sizes are a guide only, with a measurement tolerance of about 1 to 3 cm. Not sure? Message us your height and weight and we’ll tell you which size to pick.
What if it doesn’t fit? Can I return it?
Yes. You can return unworn items within 14 days of delivery, for a refund of the item price or an exchange. You cover the return postage, so check the fitting guide first or message us if you’re unsure.

How much does it actually cover?
Flutter sleeves edged in scalloped lace, a pleated sheer skirt over built-in boyleg lining shorts, and a crossover V neckline. The back is an open V, tied at the nape.
This is not full modest wear. Aveline gets its cover from the cut, not from more fabric, and the mesh and tulle are sheer by design. We haven’t tested the fabric for UPF, so we make no sun-protection claim.
Will it show through when it’s wet?
The pleated skirt and the lace on the sleeves and neckline are sheer by design. The shell is nylon with a polyester lining, and the boyleg shorts are built in under the skirt. White shows more than Black when any fabric is wet, so if that is your biggest worry, Black is the safer pick.
We haven’t published wet-test photos yet, so we won’t promise it stays opaque when wet. If this matters to you, message us before you order.
Will it stay in place when I swim?
The cups are underwire with removable pads, the halter ties at the nape, a wide ruched waistband holds the waist, and the shorts are built in, so there is no separate bottom to shift. Set the tie before you get in the water.
We haven’t published swim-test footage yet, so we make no promises about big surf.
Can I buy it now, and when will it arrive?
Not yet. Aveline is a small first release and isn’t on sale yet. Join the waitlist on the home page to get first pick of sizes and a $10 launch gift.
When it opens, standard shipping to Australia is free. Pieces ship from our supplier and usually arrive in 2 to 4 weeks.
Who is behind Aveline?
We couldn’t find swimwear like this in Australia, so we started Aveline. It’s a small first release, with no big warehouse behind it, and a real person answers every email at info@avelineswimwear.com.
How do I look after it?
Rinse in cool fresh water after swimming, hand wash cold (no warmer than 30°C) and dry in the shade. Don’t bleach, machine wash or iron.
