Who this isn't for
We'd rather you know before you order.
- You want full modest coverage. The tiered mesh skirt is sheer and the back is open, so it adds a little coverage, not full coverage.
- You want underwire support. The bust is padded with no underwire.
- You need sun protection. We haven't tested the fabric for UPF, so we make no sun-protection claim.
- You're outside the size range. It runs M to XL on an Asian size chart, and XL is made for 158 to 170 cm and 56 to 62 kg. If you're outside that, this piece won't fit you well, and we'd rather say so now.
Questions before you buy
How do I choose my size?
Aveline follows Asian sizing, which typically fits smaller than Australian sizes, so don’t go by your usual size. Use the fitting guide above and match your height and weight, and your bra size where the guide lists it.
Frost runs M to XL and is made for 153 to 170 cm and 44 to 62 kg. The fitting guide also lists bust and waist measurements. The fabric has plenty of stretch, so choose the size closest to your measurements. If you are between two sizes, message us and we will help you choose.
Sizes are a guide only, with a measurement tolerance of about 1 to 3 cm. Not sure? Message us your height and weight and we’ll tell you which size to pick.
What if it doesn’t fit? Can I return it?
Yes. You can return unworn items within 14 days of delivery, for a refund of the item price or an exchange. You cover the return postage, so check the fitting guide first or message us if you’re unsure.

How much does it actually cover?
A three-tier skirt of sheer, shimmering mesh over the bottom, a scalloped ruffle around a deep V halter neckline, and a gently ruched bodice. The back is open, with an adjustable halter tie at the neck.
This is not full modest wear. Aveline gets its cover from the cut, not from more fabric, and the mesh and tulle are sheer by design. We haven’t tested the fabric for UPF, so we make no sun-protection claim.
Will it show through when it’s wet?
The three mesh tiers of the skirt are sheer by design, and the back is open. The bust is padded. We haven’t listed a lining for this piece, so we won’t promise more than the page says.
We haven’t published wet-test photos yet, so we won’t promise it stays opaque when wet. If this matters to you, message us before you order.
Will it stay in place when I swim?
The bust is padded with no underwire, the halter tie at the neck is adjustable, and the high-stretch polyester and spandex blend holds its shape. Set the tie before you get in the water.
We haven’t published swim-test footage yet, so we make no promises about big surf.
Can I buy it now, and when will it arrive?
Not yet. Aveline is a small first release and isn’t on sale yet. Join the waitlist on the home page to get first pick of sizes and a $10 launch gift.
When it opens, standard shipping to Australia is free. Pieces ship from our supplier and usually arrive in 2 to 4 weeks.
Who is behind Aveline?
We couldn’t find swimwear like this in Australia, so we started Aveline. It’s a small first release, with no big warehouse behind it, and a real person answers every email at info@avelineswimwear.com.
How do I look after it?
Rinse in cool fresh water after swimming, hand wash cold (no warmer than 30°C) and dry in the shade. Don’t bleach, machine wash or iron.
